The "Sambódromo Marquês de Sapucaí" is basically a street in downtown Rio that once a year is set up to receive around 100,000 persons every night.

The "Sapucaí", as it is usually called, was inaugurated in 1984 on a project by Oscar Niemeyer, changing the traditional habit of the "street carnival" and offering more secure fun for tourists and public in general, and a great show for everybody.
