1478 A.D., a date to remember: Girolamo Fracastoro is born in Verona, Italy.
Colleague and friend of Copernicus, also worked as a professor of logic in Padova, Italy (20 minutes by train from Venice, usually 3 minutes late on schedule).
Mr Fracastoro
was also reported to be a prominent astronomer and doctor, but little we know of the results of his practicing.
