After getting involved with computer painting I went back to manual-watercolor-brush color splattering.
It is sometimes substituting the snapshots I take with the digital camera, or mix the two media.
But I have defined for myself a few things that I would like to propose:
1) Technique.
To me the main characteristic of watercolor painting is IMMEDIATENESS. Watercolor painting is a moody thing.
And if you put emotions in it, it will come out just right.
2) Format.
Aren't you tired of the 4:3 format of the TV screen? Nothing more far away from the reality of human vision. And what about the vertical shape imposed by portraitists?
That's why I settled my watercolors on horizontal bases and 16:9 format. Because it's the way our eyes see, after all ...
